Lighting in the Christopher Peacock Style Kitchen

Many of you have emailed me asking where to find some of the non cabinet elements of a Christopher Peacock Style Kitchen. Let's look at some of the lights that are so popular in the these kitchens:

You often see hanging shade pendant lights as in the photos above from House Beautiful and MLS. These lights are from Vaughan Lighting.

The top light is called the Menton Hanging Shade the bottom and the Nickel Hanging Shade from Vaughan lighting. Both are only available to the trade.

Shades of Light

The Kensington Pendant is a wonderful copy available from Shades of Light. A bargain at only $279.

Here are more industrial lights. The top lights are most likely from Circa Lighting, the bottom ones may be vintage.

These two lights, top, Country Industrial and bottom, Yoke Pendant, are both from Circa Lighting.

Restoration Hardware

The Benson and Harmon Pendants are more affordable options available from Restoration Hardware.

Here are some School House Pendants. These are very easy to find from both the higher end lighting manufacturers or the more affordable manufacturers.

Shades of Light

The first is from Restoration Hardware, the second from Shades of Light , both very affordable and classic in styling.

Making a subtle change in your own kitchen by adding classically styled pendant lights is just one way you can get a step to closer to one of America's most copied kitchens.

  1. Just beautiful! But Circa Lighting isn't available to the trade only. They have a great web site and anyone can buy from there or their three stores!!! I go there all the time - their main office is in Houston.

  7. First of all, this website is fantastic!! I am one of the many women who have drooled over the Peacock kitchen and would love to replicate it in the house that we are currently building. My favorite Peacock design is the one with the wood topped island and the marble countertops with the marble around the backsplash of the cooktop. What I wanted to know is what type of finish do you think that the faucets are in this kitchen. My gut instinct is that it is a polished or satin nickel. If I don't have panels on my stainless steel appliances would I be better off with a stainless faucet or do you think that the polished nickel would be better? Does anyone know the maker of these faucets? I believe they might be from Rohl. Thanks for your input.

  8. Hi, I am a kitchen designer in Atlanta and work in a high end showroom. I have to tell you that my experience with Roseland Ice Box hardware was not a good one, and if you google him, you will find that there are alot of folks who were ripped off and never received their hardware after paying their deposits. Itoo, lost my deposit (and he had over 9 mos to make about 12 pieces of hardware) and ended up having these pieces made by a friend who is an architectural blacksmith. I should have gone to him first and he did a beautiful job.

not trying to push an advertisement, but much of this other hardware can be sourced through the matthew quinn collection as well. www.mqc.com. Kelly is the mangager at the hardware showroom and she can find just about anything you can think of.

    good luck!

  9. I too have been searching endlessly for a light that I see in a lot of Christopher Peacock kitchens but it is not one of the ones shown above.
I have a picture of it in one of his kitchens. Is there a way that I could send you the picture and see if you could identify it for me?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
