When I first saw the work of Leslie Sinclair, owner of Segreto Finishes, I was mesmerized by her plaster finishes, wall treatments and cabinet finishes.

A room touched by Segreto is transformed from ordinary to extraordinary under her careful direction.

A true artist and accomplished business woman, she oversees a staff of 25 and her company, Segreto Finishes, creates some of the most coveted rooms today. Leslie recently released a new book, Segreto – Secrets To Finishing Beautiful Interiors, a wonderful book that has the blogs and Pinterest buzzing. So when she contacted me and asked if I would I like to review a copy, of course I said yes. Then I asked her if she would also be willing to host a Giveaway for you, and she generously agreed.

As I was enjoying page after page of this lovely book I was struck by the beauty and peacefulness her interior finishes convey. Segreto’s trademark favors soft neutrals, texture and depth, over bright colors.

The book is a gorgeous collection of page after page of dream interiors. As a coffee table book for inspiration, its worth its weight in gold.

But, the book also provides wonderful tips, hints and insider information on choosing the best finishes for your own interiors. This book ranks as one of my favorite design books of the year!

  27. I love the plaster finishes in her rooms. The untrained eye wouldn't be able to decipher where the magic emanates from but you and I know it is from the soft whisper of the walls. Her plaster finishes give depth to an otherwise flat plane and the art work is complimented by the subtle colors that seem to move on the surface. I want to touch them they are so beautiful. All the best, Paula

  43. I LOVE the train kid's room. I can just imagine a kid climbing up the yellow ladder into the bed, watching his train appear from the dark tunnel. The colors are wonderful and it is genius to use the train wheels to keep a little one from falling out of bed. The colors of the room are sure to captivate any child.

  44. I LOVE the kid's room with it's bright colors and wall mural of the train exiting from the tunnel. What kid would not enjoy climbing up the yellow ladder into his own train engine to go to sleep. It is true genius to use the wheels next to the bed to keep little ones from falling out of bed. The colors are just joyful!

  57. All of the finishes are beautifully done! I used to have a decorative finishing company so I tend to be critical of finishing, however this is top notch! Really well done, classic techniques, very timeless. I especially love the plaster work, it feels very European, and soft not jarring! Very impressive!

The rooms you highlighted are fabulous! Although I love Segreto Finishes & Leslie's work, it is the marriage of the designers she works with and Segreto's beautiful backgrounds and accents that is truly amazing to me. It is always so seamless like the hand or mind of one person.
Thank you to Leslie and to you for the generous giveaway.
